Court Reporter Manager (Miami, FL)

The Court Reporter Manager is responsible for managing all parts of the Court Reporter relationship with Steno, from scheduling and administration to working with our marketing team to strategize new ways to assert Steno in the marketplace as a top agency to work with. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Create relationships with court reporters in the Florida market; work with them as an extension of the Steno team 

  • Use Steno’s scheduling tools to book court reporters for depositions ensuring accurate information and timely follow-up; go out of your way to assist and remove any friction

  • Understand deeply the nuances of the court reporter functions and be able to discern and manage conversations related to rates or invoices with fairness and professionalism

  • Analyze Steno’s job pipeline to recruit and vet new court reporters in order to keep pace with demand

  • Partner with marketing on campaigns to build the Steno court reporter pool and create programs to build awareness and trust in the community 

  • Proactively track assignment deadlines and follow-up with reporters to ensure timely delivery to clients; use tools and reports to guide this work  

  • Understand Steno’s processes and tools in order to train and promote best practices with court reporters 

  • Collaborate with Steno’s operational leaders to advocate for the court reporter experience and provide feedback and ideas

  • Design programs that ensure a high standard on the delivery of services for Steno’s clients


What we’re looking for: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years court reporting agency experience required, either as reporter or manager

  • Demonstrated understanding of the court reporting eco-system in Florida

  • Proficient on Mac and PC (Google Drive experience is a plus!) 

  • Excited to create deep and connected relationships while also comfortable managing difficult conversations when needed

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Analytical thinker, able to pull reports and use tools to answer business questions

  • Experience with CRM systems, or willingness to learn 

  • Detail oriented, organized and dedicated professional

  • Customer-service oriented with bias towards hospitality and reliability

  • Desire to work with a tech start-up and is enthusiastic about the opportunity to personalize this role

Due to COVID-19, we are currently working remotely from home and will provide any equipment needed to be productive and comfortable in a remote working environment. We will be training and continually working as a team through Zoom.
